Object
Move all cards to the tableaux piles.
Rules
These are a very simple games which take their names from the shape of the
layout. The object is to use up all the cards from the waste and talon, placing
them on the Tableaux. You can only put a card on top of another card when the
numerical value of the two cards adds up to one more than the number of cards
per suit. Suit is not relevant. The value of the lowest rank court card is
one more than the highest pip card:
- for Mekuri Karuta games the lowest court is 10 and the match value is 13
- for Ganjifa games the lowest court is 11 and the match value is 13
- for French games the lowest court is 11 and the match value is 14
- for Tarok games the lowest court is 11 and the match value is 15
- for Unsun Karuta games the lowest court is 10 and the match value is 16
- for Hex A Deck games the lowest court is 14 and the match value is 17
The Tarok games limit the number of cards on a row to 4.
The Ganjifa games limit the number from 4 to 7.
The New Eiffel Tower games limit the number to 6.
The strict versions allow a limited number of cards on the waste:
- for Hootch it's 3
- for Eiffel Tower it's 4
- for Castle, Temple, New Eiffel Tower & Wizard's Tower it's 5
- for Stuppa, Uta Pagoda, Sun and Moon & Keshava it's 6
- for Keshava XII it's 7
You win when the waste and talon are empty.
Autodrop and quick play are disabled for these games.
